Rheinberg – Pumptrack and climbing rock

The former football field between the tennis hall and the Moersbach in Rheinberg has been revitalized, as part of a funding measure (LEADER), by a pump track, with kid track, and with a concrete climbing rock. For optimal planning tailored to users, there has been a workshop in spring 2019, where the local scene expressed their wishes and requirements.

On a total area of 3,500m2, a place for all ages and user groups has been created here. For the very young, the kid track is a good introduction to “pumping”. With its multitude of curves and connections, the Pumptrack offers users the opportunity to change the direction of travel, take shortcuts or make challenging jumps. Users can thus creatively shape their rides and gain more riding enjoyment.
The climbing rock made of shotcrete perfectly imitates the feel of climbing rocks in nature. The easy and challenging routes offer fun for playing children and a challenge for ambitious bouldering fans.
