Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler – Building permit

The time has come for the association “Die AHRche e.V.” to receive the building permit for the new skate park in Bad Neuenahr.

Due to the destruction caused by the devastating flood in July 2021, the planned 2023 State Garden Show in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, which included a skate park, could not take place. The damage to the town’s infrastructure, buildings, businesses, sports facilities and parks, as well as to projects already implemented for the state horticultural show, is so extensive that all financial and human resources are needed for the reconstruction and the implementation of a state horticultural show is not possible.

The association “Die AHRche”, which was founded as a result of the flood disaster, has set itself the task of not only providing disaster relief, but also rebuilding sports and leisure facilities and children’s playgrounds.

With donations from “Die AHRche e.V.”, the new construction of the skate park can now be realized. In the meantime, the project is being supported with a “Skatepark in a Box” by Skate-Aid at the old existing skatepark and with the personal support of Titus Dittmann (founder of Skate-Aid).

Due to the flood damage and the resulting new regulations and specifications, the skatepark had to be redesigned and approved.

Construction is scheduled to start in summer 2024. The club and the children and young people in Bad Neuenahr are delighted. Because now they are not far away from the dream that the children and young people in this town have been dreaming of for so long.
